Brief history of Cerdanya

The Catalan Cerdaña region, natural excellence, is a place defined by physiographic,  orographic, climatic and historical features that make it a unique place. Integrated mainly by the upper valley of the Segre, the Cerdanya valley is one of the wider Europe, where there are the minimum altitude (about a thousand feet), its east-west orientation and a high insolation the order of about 3,000 hours of sunshine a year.
The whole mountain is composed of the Sierra del Cadi (western half), the Sierra Moixeró and solid as the easternmost and Tossa d\'Alp Puigllançada, and solid Pedraforca as part Berguedà
The diversity and beauty is obvious: pure shot from the Mediterranean to alpine levels culminals, but finding ourselves with sub-Mediterranean forests, beech forests, boreal forests of pine and sub-alpine coniferous forests, with pine il\'avet black. The vegetation of the park is considered a special interest, because the low temperatures and high humidity in the area and its altitude contributed to the existence of species that are typical of the Mediterranean area, but Northern Europe and the European high mountains and alpine.
